What is a Voice Over? A Voice Over is the voice you hear without a face in many different mediums. The most common is commercials.  Voices are also used for advertising spots, corporate training systems, voice mail systems, industrial training, narration for books, CD roms, tutorials and just anytime you hear a voice unaccompanied by a body! The person who does the Voice Overs is called The Talent, since that is what they bring to the business. They bring a knowledge of how to read out loud while being creative to bring out the most in the script. Skills used are the ability to take direction, be creative, vocally clear, and most importantly, love what they are doing!
